Cold-rolled coil is processed and rolled on the basis of hot-rolled coil. Generally speaking, it is a processing process of hot rolling---pickling---cold rolling. Cold rolling is processed from hot-rolled sheets at room temperature. Although the temperature of the steel sheet will be heated up during the processing, it is still called cold rolling.

Advantages of cold rolled coil：

1. Higher precision, the thickness difference of cold-rolled strip does not exceed 0.01~0.03mm.

2. The size is thinner, the thinnest cold-rolled strip can be rolled 0.001mm; the thinnest hot-rolled can now reach 0.78mm.

3. The surface quality is more superior, and cold-rolled steel sheets can even produce mirror surfaces; while hot-rolled steel sheets are prone to defects such as iron oxide scale and pitting.

4. The mechanical properties of cold-rolled sheets such as tensile strength and process properties such as stamping properties can be adjusted according to user requirements.
